Description Lucio 2003-10-08 12:51:10 UTC
Version: 1.3.1 (using KDE 2.2.1)
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.17

I have added some names to my address book. When I have tried to open it (either via menu or via button in toolbar) nothing happens. So I cannot add, remove or edit names. In fact, I cannot even see my address book. The names in it only appear I compose a new message and click in the "..." button for the TO field.

Subject: Re: Cannot access address book

Most likely you didn't install the RPMs that contain the address book
application. Depending on the address book that you configured KMail to
use this is either kdepim or kdeutils (or some other package I forgot
about because KDE 2.2 is already veeery old).

I have this problem too, but I'm running Kubuntu 5.04 w/ KDE 3.4 & Kmail 1.8.

I've both the kdepim & kdeutils packages, and running kaddressbook from the commandline works fine.

As above, kaddressbook command works.
