Description Stefan Schwetschke 2003-10-03 00:02:38 UTC
Version: 3.0 (using KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from: (testing/unstable)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20030908 (Debian prerelease)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-5-k7

I get fax messages via email as a multipage TIFF file, but kview only shows me the first page. I found no way to access the other pages. But they are there, ACDSee on windows can show them.

Kview doesn't has the possibillity to view multi-page tiff.
There are no buttons to browse through the image directories within a tiff file.
I think this is more likely a 'wishlist' item rather than a bug.

Indeed. Must have confused it with a different KDE picture viewer (gwenview,
pixie, etc.). My fault. Sorry! But it would be a nice feature for kview. I
could easily implement this using the "Java Advanced Imaging" framework, but
I have no clue how to do this under C++. Any hints?

Hi,

i´m working with electronic document managing software (ELO) from Leitz, germany. it works on multipage TIFF - format - no problem with Microsofts bullshit (the one and only "no problem"-situation with windows). In Linux (SUSE 9.3, KDE 3.4) i try to look on it with KFAX - sometimes ok, sometimes not. this is not acceptable

Kview is no more mantained/developed. This bug wish will not be fixed until a new developer will work on it. Moreover this product is not ported to KDE4. On KDE4 it has been replaced by another software. I'm closing this bug as "unmantained". I'm sorry.

Regards.
