Description Ricardo Ferreira 2003-10-01 00:19:01 UTC
Version: CVS HEAD (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.3.1 20030916 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.1-r4, propolice)
OS: Linux

Sometimes, some windows remain on the screen even after the app has closed them (supposedly). This normally happens with konqueror progress windows. And its normally the ones that appear and (should) disappear very quicky. Like the one in the screenshot, where i was opening a page from a link in an email.

The window didnt close, and then sits above all my other windows & on all my desktops.
I've been seeing this behaviour since the change to the kwin_iii codebase, which otherwise is great.

Just an addition. Doing the CRTL+ALT+ESC + click on the window successfully
closes it.

Please try with recent kwin if you haven't done so already.
Please try to find some way how to at least somewhat reliably reproduce the error.

Comment 8 Sami Nieminen 2003-10-11 20:09:49 UTC
I have also experienced this bug. I just tried to reproduce it and managed to do it two times.
One time by clicking on URL link on kmail message and one time by clicking on other URL link
on kopete message window. I can't reproduce this every time, actually it occurs quite rarely. I
am currently using qt-copy, kdelibs and kdebase compiled from 2003-10-07 CVS HEAD.

I've seen this as well, but can't reproduce reliably

Seen this - KDE SUSE RPMs (2.1.93), can't replicate easily though. Is there any information I/we can get anyone?
