Version:           1.91 (using KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from:    compiled sources
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.22

When I start up KDE with my Slackware 9.0, kmix appears onto the screen,
but when I left my desktop I hadn't kmix on the screen, so why does it appear?
I compiled qt-copy HEAD and KDE from BRANCH.

No. If I log out after closing kmix and I start up again KDE, kmix doesn't 
appear on screen. Why?

Ah, I see. If KMix was running and you log out, when you log in it's run and visible, 
regardless of its previous visibility state. Is that it? 
 
And it doesn't start if you close it before logging out.

Yes.
I power on my PC. Slackware arrive al level 3. I log in and I run "startx", so 
KDE 3.1.4 start up and kmix appears, but it was not visible when last time I 
log out and power down my PC. So I close kmix, I quit KDE, I run "startx" 
again and kmix is not visible. When I power down PC and the day after I power 
on again and I log in and call "startx" at KDE start up kmix is again on the 
screen like the day before. Why?

It is a known bug and fixed in HEAD. 
 
For branch there is a workaround: 
 
Workaround (kde3.1.2) requires root access:  
 In ~/.kde/share/config/kmixrc make sure the option Visible=false  
 After that:  
 su root  
 chmod a-w kmixrc
