Description Thomas Friedrichsmeier 2003-09-21 16:33:40 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.3)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

In web-browsing mode, select save link as, then select a existing file as save-location. Konqueror asks twice, whether you really want to do so.
The first dialog popping up simply asks "Overwrite yes/no". When I choose "yes", another dialog pops up, asking what to do (overwrite/skip/rename...).

I'm using CVS HEAD compiled around 11/3/2003. This is slightly different, but it's probably the same bug:
1. In one konqueror window, open a local directory.
2. In another konqueror window, connect to an ftp server.
There needs to be a file that is both on the server and in the local directory.
3. Copy the file from the local directory to the server.
4. You get are asked to confirm twice just like in the original bug report.

If you overwrite a file in the local directory with a file on the ftp server, you are only asked to confirm once.

Still present in CVS HEAD (11 jan)
Comment 3 Thomas Friedrichsmeier 2004-05-10 18:40:29 UTC
Still present in 3.2.2
Comment 4 Maksim Orlovich 2004-05-11 16:44:54 UTC
Hmm, I could see this in 3.2.0, but seems fine in HEAD
Comment 5 Thomas Friedrichsmeier 2004-09-22 18:11:50 UTC
Can't confirm comment #4. Still present in 3.3.0.
Note that the behavior is fine if you use Location->Save As. However, if you right click on a link and chose "Save Link As" from the context menu, you get the two dialogs mentioned.
