Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.4) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Please don't show a splash screen every time quanta starts (or make it at least optional) I don't have a problem to see a splash screen the first time I start an application, but I get really irritated to be forced to see such a wasteful thing again and again.

Oh, thanks. Didn't know. On the other hand it would be more user friendly to have an options entry to turn it off. I don't expect desktop applications to be configured via cmd.

After 3.2 is released I'm going to migrate all applications to KSplashScreen which can do this already so this settings can be removed then.
