Description Carsten Lohrke 2003-09-21 01:08:29 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Please don't show a splash screen every time quanta starts (or make it at least optional)

I don't have a problem to see a splash screen the first time I start an application, but I get really irritated to be forced to see such a wasteful thing again and again.

Just start Quanta with the --nologo switch... It's there since ages.

Oh, thanks. Didn't know. On the other hand it would be more user friendly to
have an options entry to turn it off. I don't expect desktop applications to be
configured via cmd.

CVS commit by amantia:

GUI

Some say that a GUI app should have a GUI option to turn on/off the splash screen. Implemented.

After 3.2 is released I'm going to migrate all applications to KSplashScreen
which can do this already so this settings can be removed then.
