Version: gideon alpha 5 (using KDE KDE 3.1.91) Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: gcc 3.3.1 OS: Linux Using the projectui.rc files in a project template is really nice feature, since it enables the developper to create the menus from a description file. However, to test an application using ui.rc files, it is necessary to install it, otherwise the menus don't appear and critical features can be hidden. It can be acceptable for the pixmaps or the translations, but it is a lot more annoying for the menus. It would then be very interesting to compile the data from the ui.rc file into the program itself, in case if the ui.rc file is not found. In addition, it could accelerate the startup time of the application ;-)
This looks more like a kdelibs whish!
Hi, kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years. KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish. If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue. We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.
