Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.4) Installed from: Debian stable Packages OS: Linux If you add the Terminal Sessions special button to konqueror in KDE 3.1.3 or 3.1.4, and click on it, a menu of available sessions appears. This behavior differs from that of KDE 3.0.x, wherein clicking on the Sessions menu brought up a default Session (shell), while click and hold brought up the available sessions menu.
It differs because it's another button. What is the bug?
Well, it should provide a normal console, as per the Kicker handbook, Chapter 3, Special Buttons section. This is as of 3.1.4; quote: The Terminal Sessions Icon This icon provides access to some frequently used terminal styles: simply clicking it will launch a normal console, while holding down the left mouse button provides the same possibilities like the Konsole gives when clicking New. If this is incorrect, then the documentation needs modification. If this is correct, then the terminal sessions button is behaving incorrectly (only producing a menu, rather than console on click - menu on click and hold).
can confirm in CVS.
Indeed the behavior was changed when it was converted to a menu-extension.
Fixed: patch with the rest at http://people.fruitsalad.org/lauri/doc-patches/ to be committed pre-KDE 3.2
