Description Simon Ejsing 2003-09-17 09:32:01 UTC
Version: 3.0.0 Alpha5 (using KDE KDE 3.1.3)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

The very nice CVS log list is seriously in need of a back button.

When I get the list of revision changes I click on one of them to see the actual CVS comment, but now I can't get back to the list, I have to right click my document and select log from the CVS menu again.

Please update to CVS HEAD.
CVS support is improved there.

If you have installed cervisia you can try the much improved CvsService (which
is different from cvs, at least for now) integration in kdevelop: more
functionalities and the ability to perform multiple diff from one log (yeah,
it annoyed myself losing the log to have the diff ;-)

Note that you need first to install Cervisia and then *re-run configure* and
rebuild kdevelop.

I forgot to say that I'm speaking about this current CVS version (alpha6 does
not provide "multiple diffs from a same log" feature). It works well but (1)
diff views will use prettier visualization and (2) maybe the behaviour will
change to use the embedded KDevDiffPart.

You can find info to install CVS version in:
http://www.kdevelop.org/index.html?filename=branches_compiling.html

Sorry for imprecisions in previous post ;-)

Assuming fixed: in current CVS the log dialog now opens a new tab for every diff the user request (the "hyper"-log is always there ensuring the user can request more than one diff)
