Version: 1.5.2 (using KDE 3.1.2) Installed from: compiled sources Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-98) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.17 If I create a new mail, and try to copy a URL from an open konqueror window from the location-bar with CTRL-C/CTRL-V, kmail inserts a line-break in the middle of a long URL which makes the URL link unusable. The intersting thing is: If I paste that URL and don't send the mail (just save it as draft), then when later looking at the draft mail, the URL is still OK. But when I send the mail, the mail in the sent-mail folder has the URL already "corrupted". This is also mentioned in bug 28820, but this one is closed. e.g. https://delis.cern.ch/TWDM/fcgi/twdmdoc?action=start&action2=List+docs&navaction=fromcache&project=DELEG&root=ROOT&java=off&currdir=ROOT/_13#ROOT/_13
Is this with Qt 3.2 or 3.1? Qt 3.2 has the bad habit of breaking at all sorts of characters instead of just whitespace...

Yes, confirmed. It's annoying the hell out of me and a few others.
Subject: Re: URLs copied into mail get line breaks and are unusable So Marc was right. It's the broken linebreaking behavior of Qt 3.2.[01]. We can't do anything about that and the Trolls have already been informed.
Subject: Trolltech's issue number for this is N32570
