Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.3) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Buttons rewind and fast forward buttons, like the ones present in oppera would be great. These buttons have several functions. - When viewing a picture gallery with and .html index, you click on the first picture. Then the fast forward button goes to the next picture, the back button to the previous, and the rewind to the index of the gallery (It parses the picture names from the html) - When browsing normally the rewind button goes back to the last domain you visited. - When doing searches with several pages, (ie: google). The forward button behaves like pressing the 'next page' link. (It parses the 'next' link from the html)
I agree. Fast-forward has truly changed the way I browse the web. A key thing to mention is that this should be tied into konqueror's upcoming support for the <link> element (see bug #58689), since Opera primarily uses the "Next" navigation link for finding the "next" page.
They seemed to be called 'acceskeys'. A nice example were these can be used to is on this url: http://linuxtoday.com/news_story.php3?ltsn=2004-01-09-023-26-OP-CY-KE-0000 Using accesskeys for previous/next: Mozilla/Netscape: Ctrl+Alt+P or Ctrl+Alt+N IE: Alt+P or Alt+N, then press RETURN Another example were these keys could be usefull is when browsing the linux info pages using konqueror, for example: info:/groff
