Version: v2.1.9 (using KDE 3.1.9) Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.1 3.2.2-3mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-0.25Win4Lin In KDE FIle Manager, Right Click on Directory, and select Action/Create gzipped archive or Create zip archive, ark is launched and the following error box is presented Unknown ardhive format or corrupted archive Click OK and Ark is opened, but with no files in it. I can drag files/directories into ark, but am unable to do so directly from a Konqueror file display. Ideal behavior would be to have the files zipped or tarred in the preferred directory without ark ever opening. If no preferred directories are set, the the pwd should be used.
As of 9/2/03, can no longer drag files to archive or create any new archives. Same error message occurs. ark --add-to (from terminal) also creates same error condition.
Hello Henrique sent a patch, already commited on CVS, so maybe the bug cna be closed. Please report if really works to assure the bug close Helio
Looks good to me! Both right click on Directory in Konqueror and File New Archive works.
