Description John Hicks 2003-08-19 04:03:36 UTC
Version: 3.1-13 Red Hat (using KDE 3.1-11 RedHat) (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: Running RedHat 9 binaries Running on RedHat's kernel for Athlon. /proc/version: Linux version 2.4.20-19.9 (bhcompile@daffy.perf.redhat.com) (gcc version 3.2.2 20030222 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.2-5)) #1 Tue Jul 15 17:03:30 EDT 2003
OS: Linux

Konqueror crashes consistently upon closing any window (not a tab).
Only the instance I'm closing crashes. Other windows survive and thrive until I close them.
Completely reproducible on my system. Crashes every time I close Konqueror browser or file manager.

I'm running RedHat 9 binaries.
The only thing different about my configuration that I can think of is that I'm running on an Athlon XP2400+ using a Redhat Kernel binary for Athlon (i.e. what RedHat's up2date downloaded for me: kernel-2.4.20-19.9.athlon.rpm).

The only plugins I see listed are Flash (/usr/lib/mozilla-1.2.1/plugins/libflashplayer.so) and plugger (/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/plugger.so).

A typical backtrace:

Comment 1 John Hicks 2003-08-19 04:07:47 UTC
Konqueror version, per Help/About, is: 3.1-13 Red Hat (Using KDE 3.1-11 Red Hat)

I thought I entered that in the bug report, but I see "Version: Unspecified" in the synopsis.
Comment 2 Maksim Orlovich 2003-08-19 04:11:31 UTC
Already fixed. Please see #53603 for a workaround, or update to 3.1.1 or newer
