Version: 1.0 (using KDE KDE 3.1.3) Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.1 3.2.2-3mdk) OS: Linux This concerns KDE 3.1.3 from Textstar rpm`s. I use blank screen instead of screensaver. The desktop is locked with password in my absence (or after 15 minutes of inactivity). When I return and move my mouse to the bottom of the screen the whole taskbar (with all application icons used in the last window pane) are visible even if no password is entered. It is not severe but shouldn`t happen. This did not happen before KDE 3.1.3, I believe.
Confirmed, happens with kicker configured for autohide. Doesn't happen with HEAD. Fixing this would mean backporting substantial part of kdesktop/lock to KDE_3_1_BRANCH.
I'm not sure if it is worth backporting consiering the number of other changes, what do you think Lubos?
I'm really not sure. The diff is ~45KiB, and I don't think there's a difference between trying to backport only relevant code and simply backpoing whole kdesktop_lock. Given that this must have been broken for so long, it can probably wait a bit longer until KDE3.2.
Yes, I'm not convinced that back porting everything would be worth the time and effort particularly testing for strange breakages. Closing this because it will be fixed in KDE 3.2.

It appears that this bug might be back in TRUNK. I just got a Kopete user-login message above my screensaver while the screen was locked.
