Version:           4.1 (using KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from:    SuSE
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3 20030226 (prerelease) (SuSE Linux)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-4GB

as soon as the print icon is pressed the printer dialog appears but then dissappears
the printer shows draft but does not stay long enough to try different settings

Upgrade your KDE. Version 3.1.1a corrected this bug. If you still have 
problems with KDE 3.1.3, feel free to reopen this bug report (this one, not 
56263).
