Subject: Re: Login failed: 500 'PASS ': Syntax error, expecting password hi, it looks, that it is not possible. The username/password is for the ftp like, transport protocol. The only way is, to use the hylafax client protocol without a local hylafax installation :-/. Keep in mind that this is just a graphical interface around a command-line utility like Hylafax, EFax or mgetty+sendfax. It builds a command line from the information you provided and executes it in a child process. If you need a password somewhere at a lower level, then I would say either configure your fax system to use it automatically, or find a way to put that password in the "sendfax" command and edit the command used in the kdeprintfax options dialog. If you agree, please close the bug report. Michael.
ok, there is no suitable way to solve this problem. The only way is to allow per IP/Network in hylafax's hosts.conf. thanks :-)
