Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.2) Installed from: Mandrake RPMs FEATURE REQUEST: when you click on the question mark icon (the one near minimize, maximize, close), each widget whose explanation is available should be highlighted in an apparent way. By widget I mean _at_least_ each toolbar button and each menu entry. EXAMPLE: when I click ?, a shining red square appears around the toolbar buttons which have an explanation. Also, the menu entries are highlighted the same way, RECURSIVELY. This means that, if the entry "view->link-view" has an associated help-item, the VIEW entry will be hightlighted, not just its child "link-view". QUICK RATIONALE: the user would regain confidence in the ? feature, which he has now lost. LONG EXPLANATION: Let's face it: the question mark icon almost never works. On my system, I open konqueror, click the ?, then click on the toolbar buttons (back, forward, up, home, reload, etc). Of these buttons, only the first 10 give hints. For the other ones, the question mark is silent. Not to speak about the menu entries (e.g. menu->View->Link view). Unfortunately, such a low success rate makes the user loose confidence in the question mark feature. If the user is not confident the question mark will be useful, he simply stops using it. My feature would make the user regain confidence in it: he knows that, if he clicks on a highlighted widget, he WILL have an explanation.
