hello,

when hovering over links whose color has changes with the css "hover" property, there is a
noticable slowdown, even on my athlon2200...
When the font-color doesn't change, there is no slowdown
I'll attach a testcase.

Something maybe similar has been reported in 2001:

Maybe things have changed over 2 years...

this is fixed in HEAD, and its a duplicate of #20265.
