Description salmankhilji 2003-07-26 02:20:52 UTC
Version: 3.1.1 (using KDE KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: 2.95.3
OS: Linux

I am talking about copying/moving/linking MULTIPLE files in Konqueror File Manager.

0) Select either "one click to select" or "double click to select" feature and do not use Auto select.

1) Use the Muti Column View. Drag with LEFT mouse button over MULTIPLE files to select them in the RIGHT pane. Release the LEFT mouse button. Now click and drag with the left button the selected files to any folder in the LEFT Pane. This feature works as expected.

2) Now switch to Detailed List View. Perform the operation in step one. You will notice that you cannot do this. You begin by dragging the mouse over the files to select them. To end the selection you have to release the mouse button. Files are selected---everything is good.....Now you want to copy/move these files by dragging them over another folder in the left pane. As soon as you click the left button to try to drag them, your selection changes to a single item and you lose your selection. If you want to do drag and drop for multiple files, you either have to switch to Multiple Column view or do them one by one. Notice that copy and paste works with the right button but that is not consistent with MultiColumn View mode.

This is an inconsistency and should be fixed. It is really annoying for me.
