Version: Gideon 3.0.0a5 (using KDE KDE 3.1.2) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc 3.2.3 OS: Linux When I have modified files open in KDevelop/Gideon, I would expect that it would save these files OR prompt me to save these files before closing in response to me clicking on the 'x' button or pulling down the File-Quit. I am registering this as a bug instead of a wishlist item because I suspect it used to work and someone took it out. Even if that is not the case, this should be considered a bug as it can easily lead to someone losing data unexpectedly. Please note that I am NOT talking about the KDevelop/Gideon app crashing here, just not saving my files. It would be a reasonable alternative to me to have KDevelop automatically perform a save-all before closing but many users may want to be prompted first.
Congrats, with this bug we reached the 200 open bugs and whishes! :(
Please update.
This bug is NOT fixed as of Alpha7. It sort of looks like from above comments that the bug was closed on 9/5, before Alpha7 was released, and therefore was thought to be fixed at that point. Is it fixed in some upcoming later release?
My build from a cvs checkout of September 28th (I believe) has this bug fixed and KDevelop works as it should. Updating to the most recent source code, I see this bug has reappeared as mentioned by Robert Shideleff. Please reopen this bug.
Looks like I can reopen this bug. Doing so.
This seems to have been fixed sometime recently, after the 9th. Can someone else please confirm that this bug is indeed resolved (again)?
works here, too. so closing.
This actually seems to depend on whether you have the file tree plugin enabled or not. In Alpha7 my project did not have the file tree enabled by default. Once I enabled the file tree (after extensive discussions on another bug) I started seeing numerous features that everybody on these lists takes for granted, but didn't appear in my system. One of these features was the save all files upon close.
