Version: 2.1.5 (using KDE 3.1.0) Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.1 3.2.2-3mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-0.13mdk changed files in opened kdevelop(v2.1.5) project get zero data lenght when the disk is full!! It was done after compiling - compiler sad, that disk is full. After I resase some disk space and opend my kdevelop project again, there was only empty files!(only the files I edited):-((
When that happens, do NOT close the files or project. Did you save your file before closing the project? Free some space and continue to work as usual and you won't get any problems. Anyway, sorry but KDevelop 2.x is no longer under development. You are strongly advised to update to the latest CVS version of KDevelop3, code name gideon, take a look at: http://www.kdevelop.org/index.html?filename=branches_compiling.html for all the details you need. If you find a problem or need help please send a mail to the mailing list: http://www.kdevelop.org/index.html?filename=mailinglist.html or drop us a line at the channel #kdevelop on the server irc.kde.org using ksirc, for example. Please use the CVS version and compile it yourself because that way you can easily patch it if a bug is found. KDevelop3 can import KDevelop2 projects. To do so, run the kdevprj2kdevelop script. You can have and run KDevelop3 and KDevelop2 at the same time on the same computer without any problems. So migrating is a breeze. :) Thanks for reporting the bug. Please tell me if you saved the files before closing the project so that we can solve this bug. P.S. : The KDevelop team closed over 390 reported bugs since the release of the last KDevelop2.x
I got no feedback so I'm closing this one!
hi, I'm sorry, so late to write back, I didnt save files, by panic I closed kdevelop without saving. I think, he first saves all files in project and then works on Makefiles. It freezes by compiling so I thing that all files are saved. I have dwnload the new gideon, was nice, but some problems around libraries and I was lazy to work on that, so I'm back to kdevelop2.1.5. I want help by your work, but I have much to learn:-(( long way and nights are too short. david korcak
