Description Dmitry Nikiforov 2003-06-26 05:56:46 UTC
Version: 1.5.2 (using KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker
Compiler: gcc version 3.3 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3-1mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-0.18mdk

When a list of messages in IMAP folder is sorted by "Date (Order of Arrival)" (no matter in what order - ascending or descending), go to menu "Settings" => "Configure KMail...". When dialog window appeared - just press OK. The sorting order is now broken.

When sorting works fine - there usually is a triangle pointing in which order the list is sorted (asc. or desc.). After clicking OK in "Configure KMail" dialog, that triangle disappears and the list gets sorted in some other way (can't tell which one, though - perhaps there is no order at all).

I can reproduce this bug in 100% of cases.

There are also some other instances when it happens. Sometimes it happens when I move message from one IMAP folder to another. Sometimes - when I just delete a message.

I have noticed the behaviour with POP boxes and opening the configuration dialog
too, also in 1.5.2 (SuSE RPM's). However, the sorting order indicator is set for the
subject (the most useless sorting around, IMO).
