Version: 1.0 (using KDE 3.1.1) Installed from: SuSE Compiler: gcc version 3.3 20030226 (prerelease) (SuSE Linux) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-4GB In the help menu, when clicking on "Handbuch kviewshell" (handbook kviewshell) then only help on the KHelpCenter appears (which actually is quite postmodern --- no content anymore, only self-references). Same with "Hilfe zum kdvi pluging" (help with kdvi plugin) I expect to see the special handbooks on kviewshell and kdvi.
There are manuals for both kview, and kdvi, and either of selecting them directly from within KHelpCenter, or running 'help:/kview' or 'help:/kdvi' does as expected, and displays those manuals. This seems to be nothing we can solve from the docs side, but rather related to the way KView works, so, reassigning there. (If it's of any use, I know both Kate inserts a help -> plugins manual, and kword a help -> thesaurus, based on what's installed, perhaps this is something kview could be wrestled into doing. In a perfect world, it would know what is currently loaded and just display the help for it, but in this imperfect world, offering each installed manual explicitly in the menu would be better than nothing.
Thank you for your bug report. This bug has been fixed for KDE 3.4
