Description rjacolin 2003-06-17 09:11:12 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

The application name is not uniform since kppp is the most used but KPPP and same kPPP is used.
I think there is the same error in other GUI.

The files where I saw this error are kdenetwork/kppp.pot and kdenetwork/kppplogview.pot.

Remark (from L.Watts): The documentation uses the &kppp; entity to make sure it's consistent in all instances. &kppp; expands to "KPPP", so I suggest you use this in the GUI also.

The docs are internally consistent as mentioned, but the app itself isn't, entirely.

Whatever is settled on for the GUI, changing the docs to follow is easy, for what it's worth.

Still, this is not much use assigned to docs, reassigning.

Hey,

'cause the Repo seems down, not Maintained, i will close this Ticket.

For more see here:
"This software is used to setup PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol) connections. This is most useful for connecting with a cell phone "modem" card these days. It is also use to configure real modem connections. The NetworkManager suite intends implementing PPP functionality that will probably, in time, make KPPP obsolete."
