Version: 2.0.2 (using KDE 2.2.2) Installed from: Desktop/LX, Amethyst Update 3 Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20 I am creating a rather large program. When I finish I'll have about 200,000 lines of code. I know the integrity of the program is valid, it runs great on both a mac and windows. I am porting this project now to linux, and I'm using this kdev program to do it. But honoestly I wish I could find another one. If I try to insert existing files/dirs which contain spaces, it says they don't exists. When I try to open/insert files which were saved last on a windows machine, it crashes. And half the time I have to create new projects all together because I get hit with recursion errors on the make file. AND, the MAKE and execute are heniously slow, it drives me crazy to ever test my work. So get your act together!!
KDevelop 2.x is no longer developped. Please upgrade and try again.
Here is some more info: You are strongly advised to update to the latest CVS version of KDevelop3, code name gideon, take a look at: http://www.kdevelop.org/index.html?filename=branches_compiling.html for all the details you need. If you find a problem or need help please send a mail to the mailing list: http://www.kdevelop.org/index.html?filename=mailinglist.html or drop us a line at the channel #kdevelop on the server irc.kde.org using ksirc, for example. Please use the CVS version and compile it yourself because that way you can easily patch it if a bug is found. KDevelop3 can import KDevelop2 projects. To do so, run the kdevprj2kdevelop script. You can have and run KDevelop3 and KDevelop2 at the same time on the same computer without any problems. So migrating is a breeze. :) P.S. : The KDevelop team closed over 390 reported bugs since the release of the last KDevelop2.x
