Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.2) Installed from: SuSE RPMs As far as I can see, is not possible to sort by date (last modified date that is) while in the icon view. I sort by date often, but wish I didn't have to use detailed list to accomplish this. Also, while on the topic of view modes in konqueror, I have a few more suggestions. 2.) Add the ability to choose the sort method in the right click menu (yeah, I know the right click menu is already bloated and needs to be cleaned up badly, but I think just 1 submenu option would be nice). 3.) When viewing in detailed mode, the name column always stretches the column so all of the filenames in that directory are fully visible. This is bad I think as for extrememly long names, the other columns aren't visible without stretching the app bigger than even full screen (good thing for alt+left/right mouse click)
Please do not file multiple wishes in a single report, that makes things much harder to handle.

Well, there are people complaining that the name column being so wide makes it hard to drag and drop, so it's probably not needed.
I was wondering if anyone had considered adding this yet. Considering most file browsers have this (Nautilus and Win Explorer, among others), I think konqueror should have it too.

Since you can check: View -> Sort -> By Date in the Icon View modes, this is a Bug, not a WishList. -- JRT

Closing ticket since I tested and most of this has been fixed already (and the right click menu sort request will be opened as a new wishlist).
