I cannot reproduce it, and this backtrace is unsable. Can you
reproduce it each time? With any application?

I bet $10 it's fixed with KDE 3.1.1a

Yes it does.

b/g on my pc: amd athlon +1700, 256ram, 7200rpm hdd, tnt vc, etc. etc, hp lj 
1100, not on a network, but on a cable internet "network".
