Description Andrew Berry 2003-05-10 19:45:56 UTC
Version: 3.1.0 (using KDE 3.1.0)
Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.1 3.2.2-3mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-0.16mm-mdk

I open Konqueror from the Kicker, and sometimes the program doesn't start for over 2 minutes. This happens with both clicking on Home and on opening Konqueror in Web Browsing mode. Running ps -A | grep konq shows nothing, and my CPU usage is very low. which leads me to believe that this may be a kicker bug. However, this never happens with other programs. I can't find a pattern as to when this bug takes place.

Bad network connection and no the own machine not in /etc/hosts?
Comment 2 Andrew Berry 2003-05-12 22:01:16 UTC
Computer is not on a network. eth0 is not active by default. /etc/hosts only
has: 127.0.0.1 localhost

And what's the hostname?

Comment 4 Andrew Berry 2003-08-31 01:36:23 UTC
I have since upgraded KDE on my system, and I have not experienced this
behaviour. The system was also put on a network, where the hostname was changed
to mandrake.

System configuration error.
