Description Dik Takken 2003-05-01 12:43:05 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux

With KDE 3.1.1, KGhostView does not display an error message when gs failed to create a bitmap from a ps file. The only thing I get is a blank page.
Comment 1 Luís Pedro Coelho 2003-05-01 16:28:37 UTC
In newer versions (3.2 and after), kghostview will pop up an error message and the
output from gs if there is an error.

In stable releases (like 3.1.2 coming soon) we don't add any new user-visible
messages so that translators can do their work. Therefore, we can't really fix this
decently in that version.

Therefore, unless I misunderstood your request, this has been reported and marked
as fixed in Bug 56521 and its brothers.

I do thank you for your report, though,
luis pedro
