Description Ing. Jozef Sakalos 2003-05-01 11:38:57 UTC
Version: 1.90 (using KDE KDE 3.1.1a)
Compiler: 2.95.3
OS: Linux

There could be possibility to save current volumes as a "set" with a given name and then restore this set. There could be buttons to restore this sets - in addition to menu items.

I like this wish very much (especially as KMix was able to do so in early KDE1.x
versions). Will be done when time permits, but definitely NOT for KDE3.2,

Chris

Postponing feature: This is a POST-KDE4 feature. Possibly KDE4.1

btw. there is a file:///usr/share/autostart/restore_kmix_volumes.desktop
that restore volume levels on session startup.

Easy switch of sound output would be nice, for example when you want to watch a film on your television using HDMI output.

I implemented a simple proof-of-concept. Actually it is good enough to qualify as real implementation. You will find it in KDE4.8. Please see the keyboard shortcuts "Load volume profile 1" and "Save volume profile 1". I support 4 profiles.
