Then there is a dialog opening "hierher verschieben"- "hierher kopieren" then click "hierher kopieren" an the UI is dead!voila! lg Alex

Drag and drop usually (14 out of 20 tests) caused X to freeze after the drop action. This happes both between seperate instances of konqueror and when dragging icons around on the desktop, or between the two. Often acompanied by slight flashing, then disappearance of the icon. Both screen and key/mouse input are non functional. The only way to recover is through Alt+SysRq+k to kill X (cross-fingers and hope X comes back up) or an Alt+SysRq+B to reboot. Is there any way I can get useful debugging information in this situation?
Subject: Re: drag'n drop will freeze UI Alex, can you still reproduce this problem with KDE 3.1? Shane, your bug report might be related but you should still submit a new bug report because this bug report is mainly about KMail. Also you forgot to mention which version of KDE you are using.
Closing, not reproducable and no further response from reporter.
