Description Stevan White 2003-04-30 09:23:36 UTC
Version: 1.1.1 (using KDE KDE 3.1.1)
OS: Linux

Currently, one can only re-size a note item by selecting it and dragging the bottom left corner box. This is rather counter-intuitive to me. I expect any corner to re-size, and the whole box to move by dragging it while it is selected.

(Re: bug 59879) Selecting the note object has to somehow be distinguished from selecting the text in the object. But various GUI's do this in ways that feel natural--have a look around.

Should be bug 57879

Yes.

Also: when click in that bottom right-hand corner boxes, all the corner boxes
disappear, although the note item seems to remain selected. Clicking in the
note does not bring the corner boxes back--the note looks un-selected. If you
then drag the note, the corner boxes reappear.

This affects other resizeable items such as sequence diagram messages.

Could also be related to bug 136869.

Actually in some cases resize does not work at all neither automatically when you insert new attributes into the class or if you try manually, and the class attributes stay messed up in an unreadable garbled trunk - I can supply an xmi file that reproduces the bug on Ubutu 7.04 - Using Gnome 2.18.1

Correction - resize works - but the attributes stay garbled...
