Version: (using KDE 3.1.1) Compiler: gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-bf2.4 Only .png file wallpapers are loaded and may be installed; .jpg files are not. This bug has been previously reported and said to be resolved, but I am still experiencing it in KDE 3.1.1. When the cursor is on a .jpg file, the preview window shows the background I selected as default rather than the .jpg file. Can it be due to something in my .kde directory from past installations? If not, how do I make jpg wallpapers selectable?
Do work jpg wallpapers elsewhere in KDE apps?
your jpeg plugin isn't found, either it's not installed or you have a misconfiguration

When I installed xlibmesa3-glu_4.2.1-6_i386.deb, the kscreensaver and wallpaper problems both disappeared simultaneously. I was able to preview and display .jpg wallpapers. Is xlibmesa3-glu included in the default KDE 3.1.1 installation? I do not know what other packages I might be missing. In any case, what is the .jpg plugin called, and in which package does it reside? --Chandra 27 Apr 03 ------------------ Dr R (Chandra) Chandrasekhar Australian Research Centre for Medical Engineering Murdoch University South Street, Murdoch, WA 6150, AUSTRALIA Phone: +61-(8)-9360-2783 Fax: +61-(8)-9360-6304 email: chandra@central.murdoch.edu.au The Murdoch University CRICOS Provider Code is 00125J ------------------
