Description Christian Hennig 2003-04-20 12:50:56 UTC
Version: 1.2.1 (using KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 3.3 20030226 (prerelease) (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i586) release 2.4.20-4GB

On a fresh copy of SuSE 8.2, KWord does not find both installed scanners.

When started independently out of KWord, XSane shows selection box for my two installed scanners [Nikon Coolscan II (connected via SCSI), Epson Perfection 1640 (connected via USB)].

The Kword menu option 'Importieren -- Scan erstellen' however only shows the Nikon scanner. The Epson flatbed scanner is thus unusable from inside KWord.

Do we need a libkscan bug.kde.org entry?

Is this bug still present in a recent version of KDE, such as 3.5.8 or 4.0.1?
