Description Rainer Kiehne 2003-04-16 10:00:58 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1a)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages

If i click on the "+"-sign in front of a folder of the User Manual (in khelpcenter) the pages contained in that folder are displayed. If I click on the folder itself the whole manual gets redisplayed.
I made a screenshot of it to be viewed on

http://www.math.tu-clausthal.de/~mark/khelp_error.png

Maybe it explaines the problem best.

I can confirm that behavior. As Rainer said it's not reproduceable by clicking on the
[+]-sign but only by clicking on the folder name/icon itself. The result is scary. =P
Using ArkLinux alpha7 (KDE 3.1.1) here.

Does it go away if you close KHelpCenter, remove the files in
~/.kde/share/cache/help/*.toc.xml and then re-start KHelpCenter?

If you run KDE from CVS, maybe you can update kdebase/khelpcenter
and try again? I just committed a patch which apparently fixes it for me but
I'd sleep a lot better if you could confirm it.

Fixed for me, and Rainer confirmed it.
