Version: 3.1.0 (using KDE 3.1.0) Installed from: Gentoo Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-gentoo-r2 I want to have all default toolbar icons in filebrowser profile, and very much less of them in the webbrowser profile: Everything except: forward, back, reload, stop and the magnifiers can go. Therefore it would be great if Konqueror could save the toolbar layout within the viewprofile.

Yes, please make the konqueror webbrowser and filemanager toolbars independent of each other. It would really be helpful to have different buttons in both. I would very much appreciate to be able to configure all buttons independently for every profile (back, forward, up, reload could stay - but all the other should be up to the user). And this is not only related to the icons but also to the the toolbar size. In the webbrowser e.g. I want a large toolbar with text under the icons, in the filemanager a small without text.

additionally - the profile should remember, IF a certain toolbar is visible or not. I need e.g. the bookmarks toolbar in the web-browsing profile, but I don't want it in the filemanagement mode. If I turn it on, it is on in both profiles, and off the same. I hope this is no different bug.
The wish of Comment #7 seems to be fixed in KDE 3.5.2. As a workaround for the "rest" I guess it would be sufficient to add two new toolbars, one filemanager specific and one browser specific (as it is e.g. with the kget toolbar, the user agent toolbar etc. which only are visible in the konq browser and the konq iconview toolbar which is only visible in the konq filemanager). To the new filemanger toolbar you could add "mail file" and "find files" (which currently also unneccessarily appear in the browser toolbar, find files greyed out) and to the new browser toolbar you e.g. could add "mail link" (which really is unusable in the filemanager toolbar). That really would help gaining a clearer konq interface. And if you would go a little further you would give the user the choice if he/she wants the up and the home button enabled in both, filemanager and browser (I need both buttons in both konq variants) and to add a few (or maybe even just one) user defined button with a user defined command - but that's another bug report (Bug 127600).
Maybe as now Dolphin is the default (and better) file manager and Konqueror the Web browser, this bug is rendered irrelevant? As creator of the bug - IMHO we can close it as it "WORKSFORME". Opinions?
