Description Charles Philip Chan 2003-03-25 14:51:11 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

It would really be nice for the KDE multi-media framework to support Vorbisgain and Mp3gain.

Thanks

Charles

There are patches and a plugin for Noatun that add normalization based on "vorbisgain" and "normalize".

See http://ilist.sf.net/normalize/

With enough interest this could be extended to "official" replaygain support (meeting their specifications). The normalize plugin currently builds against Noatun's make-it-snow branch. But I don't know when this branch will be in a releasable state.

Cheers,
Felix Berger

That is stuff for individual applications. The best thing that could be done in a library is make access to this easier, which is not really within the scope of a bug report though.

Thanks for the request though.
