Description Gary Greene 2003-03-20 07:29:56 UTC
Version: 0.6.1a (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: gcc 3.2.2 gcc-3.2.2-3mdk.i586.rpm
OS: Linux

when a contact under AIM protocol tries to send a file to the kopete client, the file dialog transfer that comes up doesn't seem to send the accept signal to the sender. And then the progress box comes up, but no transfer progress.

can you reproduce this with Kopete 0.6.2?
Comment 2 Stefan Gehn 2003-05-23 15:10:58 UTC
Probably. Direct Connection is not one of the strengths of the plugin AFAICS. Due to my huge
lack of knowledge about that part I leave it to the other two (inactive?) guys who work(ed) on
OSCAR.

I am using Kopete 0.6.2 and using the Oscar protocol I was not able to transfer files to
person using the AIM client. I was presented with a error message about a
Rondevous not being able to be made this was after the file transfer dialouge box
appeared and the AIM client sent me a file. The end is I am not able to transfer files,
but I am able to receive files. I also find no info about how one is to transfer files and
found the whole process confusing.
