Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Hi,

this happens for me with an imap account, when my internet-connection is
down, to reproduce this crash, do the following:

take care that you have no connection to the internet, unplug the
network cable or do ifconfig eth0 down or so, then:

start kmail, it asks me automatically for my password for my imap mail
account, click cancel. kmail starts and the normal kmail window appears.
klick on that imap account in the left kmail window, click on the plus
sign left of the account name, the contents of the account are expanded.
now click on the "inbox"-line one line below the account name, the user
authentication dialog appears again. click on abort, now kmail crashes.

Hey,

you'll have to provide us with a backtrace as I can't reproduce this
crash. All you should be getting is a dialog saying that the connection
couldn't be established and I have no idea what might be causing your
crash.

Thanks,
Zack

Closing, as the crash is not reproducable and without more information there is little we
can do.
