Description Thibaut Cousin 2003-03-03 17:58:10 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: gcc 3.2
OS: Linux

In KDE 3.0, there was a useful feature with all menus. You could click on a small bar at the bottom of each menu to "detach" it and make it free-floating. A similar function exists in GTK-based and some old Motif applications.

I can't find that function anymore in KDE 3.1 or, if it is still there, it is well hidden. I found an option which could be related in KControl, in the "Style" section, called "Menu tear-off handles". But it doesn't change anything if I play with it, and there is no tooltip to tell me what I should expect.

Did you remove this feature? Or, if it is still there, where can I activate it?

Thanks for your attention!
