Description Ezequiel 2003-03-01 22:03:17 UTC
Version: 0.6.1a (using KDE KDE 3.1KDE 3.0.3KDE 3.0.3)
Installed from: RedHat RPMsRedHat RPMsRedHat RPMs
OS: Linux

Currently, Kopete has some basic invisible support for, at least, MSN Messenger and Jabber.

I think that better privacy control is key to massive adoption of Kopete. ICQ support for visible/invisible lists *and* better support for "set availability" commands (ie: Kopete should be able to remember wether a contact should be treated as in an "invisible list") are a must. Just think of each time that you connect to your messaging server: you have to update each "availability" for each user that you don't want to see you...

I think that this "visible/invisible" list could expand to "custom availabilities" in the sense that each time that you reconnect to your messaging server Kopete will send each user its custom availability, and everybody's happy.
