Description ieure 2003-02-21 22:52:08 UTC
Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from:    Debian stable Packages
OS:          Linux

When I use a saved session profile, the konsole window opens up at 43x20, though the konsole session I saved was at 80x25. Every session was using the same font & window size when I saved the session.

xwininfo shows this size for the 80x25 konsole window:

-geometry 582x368+38+187

...and this for the wrong-size window:

-geometry 321x321-67+0

...and in the profile file:
[WindowProperties1]
Height 768=381
MenuBar=Enabled
Width 1024=582

I assume that the height discrepency between xwininfo and the session file is because konsole doesn't count the window decoration. Fiddling with the settings in the session file produces no change in size at all.

Stranger still. I opened a regular Konsole, set the size to 80x25 and hit Settings->Save Settings, and the profile now opens up at 80x25. I assume that 80x24 is the global default, but maybe it's not specified in the system-wide config files.

In any case, konsole wasn't honoring it's h/w settings when it should have.

Size with profiles should work now due to a recent commit. Please try
KDE_3_1_BRANCH or KDE 3.1.1.
