Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1) Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: gcc 3.2.1 OS: Solaris The package kdebindings-3.1 requires the tool "csant" to compile. This dependency is not listed in the dependency list on the KDE homepage. After a lot of searching around, I found that it is probably in GNU dotgnu-pnet, but I still don't know which packages I have to install: only pnet or only pnetlib or both? Please either - eliminate the dependency or - document it.
> Where or how do we list this dependency? http://promo.kde.org/kde_reqs.php . To have the already published KDE 3.1 req list changed, you will I guess have to mail Andreas Pour.
When you build kdebindings the configure script checks for the presence of these tools and disables the Qt# build if it is not found. This is the same as the java bindings requiring a Java tools package. Does the KDE3.1 requirements include a java dependency? I will look at the configure script and make sure it is working correctly.
Ok, it lists the Java tools as recommended. I will contact Andreas to get the pnet and mono tools recommended ;) Sorry about that.
Fixed on the requirements page.
