Version: (using KDE KDE 3.0.99) Installed from: Mandrake RPMs OS: Linux I'm not sure how to reproduce this bug but it happens quite frequently-- it _might_ have something to do with the kmail having been in the background and then made active, it only happens once (I think) and then behaves correctly until it gets put in the background and reactivated later-- anyway, the BUG IS: When you select a mail folder from the available folders list, a random folder will get opened up instead. Simply selecting the correct folder again will open the right folder. I don't think I have experienced another anomoly until after the window has been inactive and reactivated.
It's very likely that this is a duplicate of bug 48888. BTW, you should really update to KDE 3.1.0. You still seem to be using a beta version or an early release candidate of KDE 3.1. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 48888 ***
You were right, I was using an older version (3.1rc5) But I just download the latest rpms and upgraded to 3.1, no beta, no rc, and the problem is still there. I am still getting random folders instead of the one I select-- in the same manner and characteristic that I originally reported. The version, reported by KMAIL is: KMAIL 1.5 (using KDE 3.1.0) KDE version, reported by KDE is: KDE DESKTOP ENVIRONMENT, RELEASE 3.1.0
Read bug #48888. It is highly probable that the behaviour you're seeing is indeed that bug. If so, the fix is in qt, not KDE. You'll have to update to qt-copy from CVS or wait for qt version 3.1.2 to be released. From the description you're giving, this sure seems like bug #48888 to me (and Ingo, for that matter).
