Version: 1.6 (using KDE 3.1.0) Installed from: (testing/unstable) Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 20030131 (Debian prerelease) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20 Kaboodle needs a small volume control widget next to the progress bar so that you can control the PCM volume in Kmix without having to open up Kmix. This would be great when the Kmix PCM volume control works and if the architecture is done right shouldn't add any bloat to Kaboodle.
I agree with the above bug reporter that kaboodle needs a volume control. In my opinion a volume control doesn't make the interface more complicated, but it would improve usability. This because after klicking a sound file/movie, one often has to adjust the volume, however, the focus is on kaboodle and one has switch focus to the kicker panel in order to adjust the volume with kmix and then focus back to kaboodle. An integrated volume control would minimize this mousing-around-effort that has to be done several times in a row if one listens to audio sources that were recorded at different levels. I like the simple interface of kaboodle and it's great as a simple all-round simple mediaplayer that nicely completes noatun, which focuses more on long play via play lists. However, I think that an integrated volume control is not a luxury but makes life easier. Kaboodel version: 1.6.1 System: KDE 3.1.1 on Debian unstable Thanks for your attention and thank you for the nice application! Beat
All reports about kaboodle has been closed because is no more developed and mantained in KDE 4. Moreover the is no feedback since a lot of time. Thanks all anyway for contributing with bug reports.
