looks like a broken package to me. Can you compile KDevelop from source and see whether it
still crashes?

SuSE 8.1 ships with KDE 3.0.4 but you have KDE 3.0.99, did you build it yourself? If yes, I
guess there is a BIC somewhere so recompiling should solve the bug.

Subject: AW: crash SuSE 8.1 rpm kdevelop

Now i have compiled the source under linux. With the same error.
My kde 3.1 packages are all downloaded from KDE FTP Server.

I'm very sorry, I forgot to tell you to configure gideon with "--enable-debug". Without it, the line
number of the actual crash is not in the backtrace.

Can you please recompile gideon and send a new backtrace?

Thanks,
Harry
Comment 4 Caleb Tennis 2003-02-28 14:07:32 UTC
This seems to stem from a broken/dirty installation of KDE/Qt.

If someone disagrees, reopen the bug.

I just compiled the latest Gideon CVS on a SuSE 8.1 box with KDE3.1 from SuSE rpm's.
It works fine. So I can confirm that this is not a bug
