This is for gideon (alpha 3) and KDE 3.1

Creating a new screensaver project fails.

The messages window shows

Installing application framework
could not copy /opt/kde3.1/share/apps/kdevappwizard/template-common/app.lsm to saver.lsm: No such file or directory at /opt/kde3.1/share/apps/kdevappwizard/template-common/gideon.pm line 71.

Exited with status 2

Fixed in CVS.  As a workaround, edit the file 
/opt/kde3.1/share/apps/kdevappwizard/template-kscreensaver/script line #18 -> 
change "app.lsm" to "kde-app.lsm"
