You probably chose a very unfortunate moment to update your CVS, as it was
quite horribly broken the past 24 hours.

Please try again, should be fixed now.

Did you do a make clean in libkopete? I forgot to add that that's apparently
necessary, sorry :)
Comment 4 Reik Keutterling 2003-01-30 18:31:46 UTC
i removed the complete cvs dir :)
i think this was clean enough ;-)

i tried it on two ways

1: with an ebuild (i use gentoo) http://cvs.gentoo.org/~danarmak/kopete-cvs-ebuild.tar.gz.tar.gz

2: following the instructions from this site -> http://kopete.kde.org/index.php?page=cvs

both with the same result :(

Hmm, and removing the contact list as you did for bug 53649 didn't help
either?

In that case, do you have debug output from the MSN plugin on the console if
you start kopete from there? If so, could you mail me the output from only
the msn plugin in private, together with contactlist.xml? ('kopete --nofork
msn 2>&1 > kopete-msn.log')

Did you tried to remove the contactlist.xml

Like martijn said, you probably update cvs when it was broken, and empty
displayname saved in the contactlist.xml
Comment 8 Reik Keutterling 2003-02-11 08:17:14 UTC
