It seems to crash when it tries to create a preview for a file in your directory. Can you try to find out which file this is? You may also want to play a little with the preview options to see if disabling certain previews helps.
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53558 reports a similar problem which seems to be caused by sound "previews".
which kdeaddons3 packages do you use ? 3.0.x ? does it help to update to 3.1 ?

From 53619: Apparently starting from LD_BIND_NOW=true kdeinit (!!) is required to reproduce the bug. Ouchie.
I have the same problem (debian - testing; KDE-3.1 packages as deb from kde.org). Konqueror crashes when using it as filemanager in the case I open a directory with symbol-view. As long as I use the detailed view - it works fine. Further noatun and kaboodle can only be started using a shell.
Eckhard, can you please start konqueror via valgrind and send the last lines before the crash happens ?

Eckhard: There is a similar but different problem that I've seen that's caused by mis-installation of libvorbenc. Does your backtrace end with _init in libvorbisenc.so? If so, re-check your installation. And please let us know here whether it's that problem or this one.

David: You're not suffering the same problem (but rather a very similar one): your libvorbisenc isn't installed properly. Please read this: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53511#c5
I had a similar issue with the CVS version. After I did an apt-get update on my sid debian box and recompiled arts, support, libs, etc. everything started working fine. I believe it was problem with my glibc.
