Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.0.3)
Installed from:    Mandrake RPMs

I want to be able to have my custom templates added to the new project menu but at present I can't find a way to do this.  It is unclear if this is hard coded in I followed the example of the templates in the apps/kdevelop/templates directory but my new template wasn't recognized.

This is possible to do with KDevelop 3.0 please upgrade

Take a look at KDevelop/parts/appwizard/README
